About Me

I’m a Tassie girl who’s been living in Melbourne for the past decade. I’ve recently relocated back to sunny Hobart town with my partner and our young baby Ace. After a more than fifteen years working as an Account Director in the digital sector, a wedding celebrant is possibly the last choice of career or sideline that I thought I’d sign up for. But the more I think about it the more it makes sense.

I like writing, I’m happy to entertain a crowd, I’m a romantic at heart and most of all I love a good party.

I took on this interesting new qualification after a few too many glasses of wine one night with a good friend who was planning her wedding.  My friend was telling me how strange she felt about choosing a celebrant and her fear of having someone that didn’t know or understand them at all do the honours. In a flash of rare genius I decided I could marry them! How hard could it be? Hey, if Greg Evans can do it. So can I.

And so, 6 months later, after some serious study and a lengthy application process I emerged as a fully qualified Civil Marriage Celebrant, appointed by the Attorney General - just in time to marry my friends.

From that experience, I’ve decided to use my newly acquired powers to offer a simple, fresh but definitely heartfelt celebrancy service.

My approach is a little different too. Addressing my friend’s original fears I’ll take the time to talk to you and understand who you both are and what you want. From there, we’ll craft a ceremony that is  personal and unique and a true reflection of you and your personality as a couple.

If you’re after a long, formal and more traditional ceremony, I’m probably not your girl. However if you’re thinking of a more relaxed affair, with your close family and friends sharing a laugh and a smile – we could be a good match.
